Serving

There are a wide variety of ways that you can help in church life at Hope Church. However, people often don’t know where or how they can help. This page is put together to highlight some of the ways that you can get involved. Please see the list below and if you’d like to serve, please email the church office.

Welcome Team

We love to give people a warm welcome when they arrive at the door on Sunday mornings. If you have a knack for making people feel welcome and like chatting to new people, this is the place for you.

New Generation (0-18s)

We have a thriving 0-18s work at Hope. Overseen by Sanjeev Manaktala, all volunteers will require a DBS check as per our Safeguarding Policy. This area of church life is split into age ranges based on school years with each one looking very different, although all volunteers need lots of energy!

Worship Team

This is not only open to musicians but also for people who have or would like to gain technical skills in PA or Audio Visual systems. If you love to worship God, then this is the perfect place for you.

Tea & Coffee

Every Sunday we have a wonderful team who serve tea & coffee. It is the best place to start serving if you are new to Hope because it means you’ll meet plenty of new people.

Alpha

Overseen by Reuben Grace, the popular Alpha course is a great way to talk to people about the meaning of life and the Christian faith.

Events

We run lots of lunches and events throughout the year, so if you would are able to help in the kitchen or with set-up or pack-up, then this would be a great help.

Maintenance

This can be getting involved in simple jobs around the building or helping someone in the community. If you have DIY skills and the time to help occasionally, please let us know.

Office

There are always lots of administrative and practical jobs that need doing around the building. If you have time during the working week and don’t mind getting stuck into a variety of activities, we’d love to hear from you.
